The Animal Control Department duties include:
- Rescuing stray animals within the city limits of Holts Summit.
- Investigating animal abuse calls.
- Reporting bite incidents.
- Taking necessary action when citizens do not comply with City animal ordinances.
- Corralling loose livestock.
- Investigating abandoned animal reports.
- Informing the public of city ordinances.
- Providing adoption services.
- Setting up the appointments required for Spaying and Neutering of animals available for adoption.
