Animal Control

The Animal Control Department duties include:

  • Rescuing stray animals within the city limits of Holts Summit.
  • Investigating animal abuse calls.
  • Reporting bite incidents.
  • Taking necessary action when citizens do not comply with City animal ordinances.
  • Corralling loose livestock.
  • Investigating abandoned animal reports.
  • Informing the public of city ordinances.
  • Providing adoption services.
  • Setting up the appointments required for Spaying and Neutering of animals available for adoption.
